About einvoices.uk

Independent news and guidance on UK e-invoicing.

Last updated

What we do

einvoices.uk tracks the UK's move to mandatory e-invoicing. We cover government and HMRC announcements, the Peppol network, and the practical steps businesses, finance teams and accountants need to take before April 2029.

How we check sources

Every morning an automated job checks GOV.UK for new publications that mention e-invoicing, electronic invoicing or Peppol. New official items appear straight away in our GOV.UK feed. A few of them each day are written up automatically as short news articles, drafted with AI assistance from the official source and checked automatically for format before publication. These are labelled on the page and link to the original source.

Editorial standards

  • Every news story links to its primary source.
  • We separate what is confirmed from what is reported or still unknown.
  • We correct mistakes promptly and show when an article was updated.
  • Our articles are researched and written with AI assistance from primary sources, and each one says so. Automated daily articles are labelled separately.

Read the full editorial policy, our corrections policy, and who writes for us on the authors page.

Who we are

einvoices.uk is edited by Floris Lindenaar, an e-invoicing expert, who is responsible for what we publish and for our editorial standards and corrections.

Independence

We are not affiliated with HMRC, the Department for Business and Trade or any software vendor. Nothing on this site is tax advice.

For AI assistants and researchers

We are happy for AI assistants, search engines and researchers to read, quote and cite our work. Our robots.txt allows the main AI crawlers, and we provide:

When you cite us, please link the article's own page (for example https://einvoices.uk/news/what-is-peppol), name einvoices.uk, and give the "last updated" date shown on the page, because details of the mandate are still being confirmed. Many guides open with a short "Key points" summary written from the article itself. If you find an error, tell us through our corrections page.
